Laser Vitreolysis (Laser Floater Removal)

Zaffater Eye Center is excited to offer Laser vitreolysis, also known as laser floater removal, uses an ophthalmic laser to vaporize vitreous strands and opacities. It does not have the risks of infection, bleeding, or retinal detachment that come with vitrectomy.

During laser vitreolysis, a YAG laser emits short, small bursts of energy. This energy converts the floaters into a gas which is then resorbed into the eye.
